First ATV run of 2022..

First Run of the Season……….

In New Brunswick April 15th is the start of the ATV and UTV (side x side) season.

Most years it is usually colder than I prefer as well as the trails are

wet, snowy and muddy.

This year we were anxious to hit the trail even if it was only a short distance.

To go out in the fresh spring air to view nature as it is starting to bud with life.

It was great checking out the forest as we traveled along the railroad bed from Nackawic.

The colours were dark but expected but we didn't

mind as we know what is coming in a few weeks. The trees

fallen within the deep woodscreated much texture and design for

the artist. The fallen trees create homes for creatures and compost

for the forest floor of flora.

As you notice there is snow and ice on the trail which made it slippery in some
areas.  In fact, very slippery as we started to slip and slide on the ice.  Slowing
down while keeping one tire in the track made traveling easier.  It was wonderful
to drive through winter into........

Spring.  Amazing how the landscape changed in seconds.  The road was rough
but we have traveled rough areas before.  The ribbon strung from one tree to
the other is a warning sign.  Just days before the culvert blocked and the trail
washed out.  It was wonderful to see people gathering together to fix this area
that prevented bikes from enjoying nature.  A gift we received while out on the trail
was to meet Side x Side friends that we hadn't seen for at least two years.
There was happy greetings, laughter, checking out machines, and catching up on life.
 Such a Joy!

I knew there had to be a spot somewhere that told me that spring was here.
Not sure if you can see the tiny pussy willows but believe me that is what is
 on the bush.

One last photo of the browns, greys, blacks and a touch of blue in the sky.
Would have been great to see a moose or other wild life however, that will
happen as we keep hitting the trails.

Enjoy your travels...........
Marlene
