First ATV run of 2022..

First Run of the Season………. In New Brunswick April 15th is the start of the ATV and UTV (side x side) season.  Most years it is usually colder than I prefer as well as the trails are wet, snowy and muddy. This year we were anxious to hit the trail even if it was only a short distance.  To go out in the fresh spring air to view nature as it is starting to bud with life.  It was great checking out the forest as we traveled along the railroad bed from Nackawic.  The colours were dark but expected but we didn't mind as we know what is coming in a few weeks. The trees fallen within the deep woods created much texture and design for the artist. The fallen trees create homes for creatures and compost for the forest floor of flora. As you notice there is snow and ice on the trail which made it slippery in some  areas.  In fact, very slippery as we started to slip and slide on the ice.  Slowing  down while keeping one tire in the track made traveling ea...

Silence and along came a creative idea........

Silence.......... …………In  a moment of Silence In the evening, I take a moment to be Still, to slow down, take a breath and chill.  The silence is like a beautiful shawl being wrapped around me as I sit and look at the frozen river.  The river is a spectacular piece of nature with its many moods and seasons.  While sitting, I noticed my grandmother’s quilt sitting on the end of the bed.   The cherished quilt is old but not really yellowed with time.  When I see the quilt, I think of my grandmother being with me.  My mind wanders to how she made the quilt with so few resources, however, she made it with love.  I have always wanted to paint a quilt.  I am too impatient to try and piece one. An idea takes wings as I sit there with the beautiful piece of art, the quilt, in front of me.  I could paint a piece of fabric and put it together with quilt batting and fabric back for someone to quilt for me.
